Back when we started, there weren’t many breweries in Cornwall. These days, you'll find plenty of craft beer breweries throughout the county, each with its own style, approach, history and story to tell. More importantly, each has its own great beers. We love being part of this industry and helping to add to the already great Cornish beer that is available.

It's part of what we're about.

It's part of our story.

We always wanted to create a Cornish brewery that helped us to live that particular Cornish lifestyle – spending time in, on, or by the sea with friends and family, being inspired by the jaw-dropping coast and creating beers that reflected all of this. In the twelve-plus years of forging our journey, we have learned so much and come so far.

But for this dream to continue and to create the best brewery in Cornwall, we have always made sure we work with the best. We work with the best partners and suppliers, the best ingredients, and the best people, all living in the best place to create the best life, and in turn, this helps to make the best beer.

So this is a blog to introduce the partners that helped to build our new brewery home that we moved into last year.

St Ives Brewery Taproom

SSV Limited, brewery kit manufacturers, built the brewhouse and all the tanks and piped it in together. An unbelievable team that provides more than a product, they were invaluable in teaching us more about processes and helping us shape how we approach each brew in our HQ. Design, build, service, knowledge, passion, expertise – they tick every single box and more.

Vigo is our packaging line supplier. They installed our bottling line and canning line, which have become a hive of activity in recent months as wholesale and direct orders continue to soar. They are true experts in the art of making packaging beer efficient and pain-free, knowing that the final part of the brewing process is in safe hands takes the pressure out of making the beer. The canning line was made by ABE American Brewing Equipment, who really do make the best equipment out there. The bottling line is Italian and from a company called Cimec, who are equally superb at what they do.

Alfa Laval supplied the centrifuge. This is also known as a separator. It removes yeast and hop matter from the beer before packaging and helps us to create some of the best beer in Cornwall. It's about as 'state-of-the-art' as you can get in the industry and is perfect for a Cornish brewery with huge aspirations.

Our grain silo is pretty big, and you'll definitely notice it if you visit us and the taproom. We're not sure many breweries in Cornwall have silos of this scale, but we rather like it. Collinson provided the silo for us and helped us to understand where it was best placed to make the start of the brewing process simple and effective.

Allan Ruddock Engineering supplied the mill and conveyor system for the grain – much like all other parts of the build, these guys made us feel valued and passed on so much knowledge and expertise to help shape the brewery.

Kemtile provided the flooring. The tile system is German by design and is a vital part of the brewery. Self-draining and hygienic, it makes sure our brewing process is all above board for water and drainage.
